This debate has been on-going for time but first of all what is RAP? according to my dictionary, Rap is a type of popular music of US black origin in which words are recited rapidly and rhythmically over a prerecorded, typically electronic instrumental backing.
But rap music comes with a lifestyle, so rappers often rap about their social vices, belongings and even things that they don’t have.
Most rappers today focus on rhymes instead of the message songs should carry, some also engage in comic rap, meaning raps that don’t have any message, are made for listeners to laugh. We have so many of such rappers in Ghana and usually their reason is, good raps with message don’t sell so they prefer to just play around with words on commercial beats. Let’s take a look at some Ghanaian rappers who, all they do is say words that rhyme but makes no sense or has no message for their listeners.

KWAW KESE
There is no Kwaw Kese rap that makes sense, sometimes he actually makes up words just for the sake 0f rhyming — very terrible! Listen to his new song “MR. LOVER LOVER” here.
OPANKA
Since he started from freestyles, it’s no doubt he will know how to put words together, but when it comes to sense, expect nothing. Listen to his “EBOLA FREESTYLE” here.
YAA PONO
Just listen to his AMEN song, absolutely no sense in his raps and he’s been doing that for years.
