The Music Industry Treats Us As Outcasts - Wanlov The Kubolor

A Member of popular Ghanaian music group Foes of Kwame Nkrumah otherwise known as FOKN Bois has disclosed that one of the group’s biggest challenge in making it big in the Ghanaian music industry is the manner in which they (FOKN Bois) are treated.

In a one-on-one interview session with nydjlive.com from his home, Emmanuel Owusu Bonsu known in showbiz circles as Wanlov stated that the industry was full of pretenders who hated to see and live the realities which the group believed in therefore they're being seen as awkward and treated as outcasts.

Wanlov stressed that it was pathetic the whole industry was painting and living a different life that did not really represent what the society was.

“Our biggest problem is that the whole industry is fake and so it accepts people who live fake lives and cannot be themselves. You know we are very sarcastic in our approach to issues and so these industry people who are supposed to give us the push feel we are not one of them (fake people)”.

He however expressed appreciation to the few realistic people who support their craft.

FOKN Bois is made up of Wanlov the Kubolor and M3nsa Ansa, a connoisseur in the hiplife movement in Ghana.

The group was recently in South Africa where its movie Cos Ov Moni 2 was screened to thousands of people after it was recommended by Oscar Award Nominee, Mike Lerner.
