Ghana-based Nigerian Afropop singer, Tony Harmony has died.
King Lu, a best friend of the musician, confirmed the news bringing to an end, conflicting reports about him.
Management of the musician had in a Facebook post refuted the death reports urging fans and the public to ignore them.
However, King Lu speaking in an interview with, Hitz FM’s Showbiz Review, stated that Tony Harmony passed away after a short illness during a visit to Nigeria.
According to him, the singer left for Nigeria a month ago for his brother’s engagement ceremony and fell sick after week.
He was rushed to the hospital where he died on Friday, May 29 in Nigeria.
Tony Harmony was born Anthony Akpovwovwo Harmony on April 18 in Sapele, Delta State Nigeria. In 1990, he joined dance group in Delta State known as T-BIRDS.
In 2003, Tony relocated to Ghana where his career hit the roof with his electrifying performances on TV3 network music programs as star of the week.
He has played a number of big shows coupled with collaborations with great showbiz celebrities in Ghana including K.K Fosu, Samini, Sammy B, Ronnie of Buk Bak, and Triple M.
Tony Harmony was married to a Ghanaian with three children. “His wife and the PR are currently on their way to Nigeria,” King Lu added.
King Lu is a video director who has worked with some popular artistes including Kwadee, Wanlov the Kubolor, and the FOKIN Bois group.
