Yaa Pono Punches Obour Over Kwaw Kese’s Arrest

Following the arrest of rapper Kwaw Kese for allegedly smoking marijuana in Kumasi, friends, family and fans have have been pleading for his freedom. #FreeKwawKese, a campaign which went viral online was initiated to request for  the release of Abodam.

Tema-based rapper Yaa Pono who wants to intensify the campaign has recorded a song, #FreeKwaw beseeching the law to allow Kwaw who has been remanded to go scot free. In the about three minute song, the ‘Amen’ rapper  put across his disappointment in Bice Osei Kufour, the MUSIGA president for doing nothing to save Kwaw Kese.

Pono stated the he will never join MUSIGA for how they have forsaken Kwaw Kese through this hard time.

Kwaw Kese was arrested on Saturday 22 November 2014 at a popular open hangout called Plus 2 located at Ahodwo where he was allegedly smoking MARIJUANA with a group of friends.

He appeared before a KMA court on Monday 24 November 2014 and was subsequently remanded for two weeks. Kwaw Kese will appear before court on Monday, 8 December 2014

New Ghanaian Coach, Avram Grant To Bring Back Muntari And Kevin Prince Boateng

New Black Stars coach Avram Grant has announced that he is willing to give midfielders Sulley Muntari and Kevin Prince Boateng another chance in his set up.

The two have been suspended indefinitely from the Black Stars by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for what the FA described as disrupitive behaviour during Ghana’s participation at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.Responding to questions at Avram Grant’s unveiling in Accra, the Israeli coach said: “The door is open for everyone- they need to show they are willing to play – If they are willing to sacrifice then the door is open to them.”

His predecessor Kwesi Appiah was strict on how regular a player plays in his club before he gets a call up, but Grant told journalists that his player selection will be based on “Quality, strong character and willingness to sacrifice for the nation.”

He said his ambition for Ghana is long term and will do everything he can to make the team succeed.”I’m very happy to take the Ghana job which is a big challenge.”

Speaking about Ghana’s Group C members in the impending Africa Cup of Nations, Grant said: “I like to win and we will do everything we can to win the 2015 AFCON, but that is not the main thing.”

“It has been mentioned that it’s the group of death but I must say we want to live, not die,” he stressed.

Mzbel Brings Another Controversial Jargon ‘Legelege’

Sexy female singer Mzbel returns with a new jargon, ‘legelege’ which is said to be a talk of town; this information was disclosed on her website; www.mzbelmusic.com. 

The female singer who introduced ‘Yopoo’ some years back and swept Ghanaians off their feet with her wow performances is looking at breaking her own record with this new jargon ‘Legelege’. 

‘Legelege’ in literal terms means something very thin or small. The site which has reflections of her pictures from her instagram page @mzbemusic has leashed traces to what we think relates to her controversial jargon. 

Our source close to the singer told us that Mzbel known in real life as Nana Ekua has also been seen having studio sessions with one sound engineer called King Dee and it is believed that probably the new jargon might be a new single’. 

The jargon is not a new word among the people in the GA traditional areas or for any Ghanaian who speaks the GA language but in this contest Mzbel is using it differently but as to what it actually means our source could not tell us.

The source maintained that it will be better to hear the meaning of the jargon from the horses own mouth but when unveiled it will surely become a house hold jargon which will be used frequently especially this Christmas and New year festivities. 

According to the source Mzbel is so particular about the jargon so much that she actually maintains a hash tag on all her social media pages to get fans so curios. 

One thing she did tell us was that if the said single is ready for release Ghanaians and her fans should expect a huge come back. 
Well, we would not necessary say she is coming back because the female singer has been around and is still very active in the music business but musically yeah we will say that the single will be tagged as a comeback song.

I Was Taken Advantage Of Sexually At 19 – Cindy Thompson

Gospel songstress Cindy Thompson has revealed for the first time that she was taken advantage of sexually at the age of 19.

The Awurade Kasa hitmaker told Bola Ray on STARR CHAT on STARR 103.5FM Wednesday that the 'rapist' was a man who was romantically interested in her.
