HOT PHOTO: Elikem Excited Over Pokello's Body

Ghanaian BBA representative and Fashion Designer Elikem Kumordzi aka Elikem the tailor has decided to share what he enjoys under the sheets with the world.

The BBA-The Chase finalist posted a picture of his girlfriend Pokello at the beach in what looks more like lingerie than bikini. Elikem who seem obviously excited tweeted Pokello’s revealing picture today with the comment “Those hips, those thighs, that skin, that face, that waist, Lips, eyes, nails, ears, O chaaley”.

The pair are currently in East Africa as the location maps of their PDA photos that have gone online in the last hours, suggests.

Elikem proposed to his BBA housemate and Zimbabwean girlfriend live on stage during this year’s Ghana Music Awards and Pokello said “yes”.

We are yet to know when and where the anticipated marriage would take place but before then check out Pokello at the beach.

David Oscar And George Quaye Clash Over GH Comedy

There have been several talks in the country that try to compare Ghanaian comedians to their fellow colleagues in Nigeria.

The little discussions I’ve had with some of my countrymen point to the fact that Nigerian comedians are far better than Ghanaian comedians. Their arguments are based on the fact that Ghanaian comedians do not learn in order to adapt themselves to various situations. I guess such was the opinion of George Quaye, a TV presenter and Public Relations Officer for Charter House.

For some time now, there have been misunderstandings between David Oscar – a Ghanaian comedian (popularly known for his comedy series – Laugh a Minute – on Viasat 1) – and George Quaye. Speaking on Neat FM’s Entertainment Ghana yesterday, David Oscar shed more light on the beef between the two.

According to him, George described Ghanaian comedians as ‘wack’ (without value) which did not go down well with him as a comedian. If such a careless statement had come from any other person, he wouldn’t have had any problem; but for someone like George who knows the challenges Ghanaian comedians are facing, such pronouncement should not have come from him.

“The reason why I was even more shocked because he made those comments was that this same George met me somewhere around 2011 or 2012 and asked me about Corporate Comedy Series. I told him how far we’ve come and was even telling him how difficult it was to raise sponsorships and all of those things.

So if this same man having had this conversation with me sits on his TV show and act oblivious to the fact that there are actively working comedians in the Ghanaian entertainment industry and say Ghanaian comedians are ‘wack’, then that to me is rather unfortunate”, David emphasized.

He believes that our system keeps on feeding Ghanaians with Nigerian contents and that explains why Ghanaians appreciate Nigerian comedians more.

However, George also pointed it out that he made that statement in order to ‘ginger’ Ghanaian comedians for them to sit up and improve on their skills. When asked if he was prepared to retract that statement, George had this to say:

“On the contrary, I would have hoped David Oscar would be grateful to the fact that the statement I made has probably pushed them to prove me wrong. I feel that those harsh words I used on them has angered and annoyed them so much to prove me wrong. So for David Oscar to refer to me as a worm, fool, and idiot on social media, I thank him.”

Conversely, David does not think those words motivated them to work extra harder since they (Ghanaian comedians) have been working very hard every day. So if George decides to treat him with contempt, he will likewise treat him with an equal measure of contempt.

Wizkid Under Attack For Not Using Dark Girls In New Video

Wizkid in the new video
Yes, it appears Africans are getting fed up with the glorification of ‘light skins’, which had caused many of our people to turn to bleaching and toning.

In Ghana, Yvonne Nelson is often ridiculed and accused on social media for lightening her skin. We even have the likes of Ama K. Abebrese, Nana Ama McBrown and others starting an intense campaign against skin bleaching and toning.

A similar campaign has been started in Nigeria with some big names supporting it. It is not surprising therefore that Wizkid received a lot of bashing when he posted images from his new video shoot in Miami on Instagram:

Star Boy is currently in Miami, Florida to shoot a new music video. The 24-year-old star posted photos and video clips on his official Instagram page and his followers are going in on him for not featuring dark skinned girls but Latino ladies.

In July, Nollywood starlet Beverly Naya wrote an inspiring article for BN on loving your skin. That was the first step in the campaign. #FiftyShadesOfBlack.

The campaign is created to inspire not only women but as many young black girls as possible because they deserve to have a chance of realizing and cherishing their beauty before someone leads them to believe otherwise.

Beverly brought some of the fresh and leading ladies in the entertainment industry music, beauty, fashion and acting to help take part in the inspiring campaign.

Rihanna Wants To Buy A UK Soccer Club

The 26-year-old singer is said to be "really serious" about setting up a sports academy in her native Barbados and then becoming a chairwoman or owner for a team in England, so much so she has been getting some advice from her friend, Chelsea player Didier Drogba.
A source close to the Bajan beauty said: "At first we thought Rihanna's desire to be involved with soccer on a business level would soon blow over.
"We figured she was still on a high from the World Cup. But now it's becoming clear she really is serious.
"She's talking about setting up a football academy in her native Barbados. Then her big dream is to be involved with a UK club."
While Rihanna has previously confessed to being a Liverpool fan, it is also thought the 'S&M' hitmaker could consider taking over a club in Los Angeles.
The source added to the Daily Star newspaper: "Britain is like a second home to her, although she's also hinted she may do something with an LA team."
Rihanna was a big fan of the recent World Cup in Brazil over the summer and posted several pictures on Instagram page of herself supporting the home nation until they were ruthlessly dumped out of the competition 7-1 by Germany.
The star then went on to support Germany in the final, which they won by overcoming Argentina with an extra-time winner from Mario Gotze.
Rihanna is not the only big name star who has been interested in taking over a UK team as rapper Snoop Dogg previously admitted he was thinking about investing in Scottish champions Glasgow Celtic and P. Diddy was said to be in talks to buy Crystal Palace in 2010 because he likes their name.
What's more, Hollywood legend Tom Hanks is a big fan of English heavyweights Aston Villa, also because he is a fan of their moniker, and Sylvester Stallone has been to watch Everton on several occasions.

Hammer To Make A 'Hit-Maker' Again?

Legendary beat producer and Chief Executive of Last 2 Music Group, Edward Nana Poku Osei, known widely as Hammer, has been put to test to identify an amateur music talent that can be transformed into a celebrated hit-maker that would be at par with the big names in contemporary Ghanaian music.

For the last decade and a half, Hammer has earned a reputation for grooming and adding the ‘Midas touch’ to the careers of successful musicians like Sarkodie, Tinny, Edem, Obrafour, Castro, and Kwaw Kesse ‘Abodam’.

He also made stars out of the likes of Obour, Kwabena-Kwabena, Okyeame Kwame and several others.

MTN and Farmhouse Productions have appointed Hammer as one of the three resident judges for the 2014 edition of the MTN Hit-Maker music reality contest, putting him to test to defend his reputation as a genius who identifies and transforms amateur music talents into superstars.

He has a special ability to identify potential stars in their raw state and push them into the limelight.

Hammer joins two other judges: Bessa Simons, a seasoned musician and keyboardist who is also the vice president of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), and the forever young Offie Kodjoe, a renowned singer and composer.

Winner of the first edition of the MTN Hit-Maker, Naterial, was given an amount of GHc100,000 to record and promote an album. Unfortunately his manager, Quick Action, has not been able to make much out of the winner and the money, apart from the album and a couple of concerts.

Naterial is still not among the top notch of Ghanaian superstars despite his passion, dedication, huge talent as well as the cash given to his manager—an indication that his handlers did not live up to expectation.

Koo Ntakra won the second edition, a young talent as humble as a lamp, but with the ability to impress whenever he grabs the microphone.

Koo has justified himself as a hardworking artiste with a promising career and seems to be picking up rather fast.

At least MTN has provided fame and money for Naterial and Koo Ntakra. The onus lies on them to either live their dreams or waste the opportunity.

At the launch of the third edition, MTN announced a prize package of recording and artiste management deal worth GHc100,000.00 for the winner and said the theme for the season 3 is dubbed 'Dream It, Live It'.

Producers, Farmhouse Productions, have also said amateur musicians who want to take part in the season 3 should either submit their demos to the various MTN offices across the country, upload the demos on MTNplay portal or drop them at the various partner radio stations.

The responsibility now lies with judges Bessa, Offei and Hammer, as well as the voting public, to identify the amateur with the best potential of becoming a superstar.

But all eyes are on Hammer, not only because he is the newest judge in the contest, but because of his track record of making great oaks out of little acorns.

Sarkodie Turns Breastfeeding Ambassador

Ace Ghanaian rapper, Michael Owusu Addo, popularly known in showbiz as Sarkodie, has been unveiled as the 2014 Ambassador for the Ghana National Breastfeeding Campaign.

The multi award-winning artiste is to use his fame to promote the culture of breastfeeding among nursing mothers across the country.

In his acceptance remarks as the ambassador, the rapper explained the importance of breastfeeding to the wellbeing of children and nursing mothers. He was speaking at the launch of the 2014 World Breastfeeding Week by the Ghana Health Service (GHS) on Wednesday in Accra.

According to him, breastfeeding prevents babies from frequently falling ill and thus saves parents from spending their scarce financial resources on medical bills.

“Breastfeeding is very essential, and it is to save yourself the cost and the stress of going to the hospital all the time just because your child has fallen sick because he/she has not taken the right nutrients which are derived from breast milk,” he said. He urged young mothers to constantly breastfeed their babies for at least a period exceeding six months.

He added; “I will let my followers know about the importance of breastfeeding exceeding six months… I will do everything I can to promote the idea. I will use my social media platforms to educate the public on the need to breastfeed babies.”

The ‘Give It to Me’ rapper disclosed that the rate of breastfeeding among young Ghanaian mothers was very low.
