1. Jackie Appiah
Star actress-Jackie Appiah’s child-Damien was not born out of wedlock but the breakdown of her marriage to Peter Agyeman has made her a single mother—juggling her acting career with motherhood.
She seems to have done well as her career has not really suffered. We guess when you can afford a Nanny or pay family and friends to help, it surely doesn’t matter if you are a single parent or not…
2. Joselyn Dumas
When it comes to Joselyn Dumas and her daughter, the story is a little different. Some claim she had her child while not married but the actress is known for saying, she was once married and that was when she had her child. Unlike Jackie Appiah who had her child while in the limelight, Joselyn Dumas came into showbiz as a mother—a situation she has perfectly managed. She has tried to keep her daughter away from the cameras but trust the media to occasionally fetch her out.
3. Juliet Ibrahim
We were here to see actress-Juliet Ibrahim get married, have a baby and then getting divorce—all within a space of less than 5 years. The collapse of her marriage some few years ago has made her a single mother. We are told Juliet Ibrahim’s son spends a lot of time with Juliet’s mother and as such, the actress’ career stands unaffected by her single parent status. But in the ‘men department’, she seems to be running out of luck; a situation some blame on being a single mother.
4. Nana Aba Anamoah
When it comes to Nana Aba Anamoah, she has a long story behind being a single mother. According to the TV personality, she got pregnant as a teenager and though abortion was the reasonable option then, she decided to opt for being a teenage mother. Today, she is a proud single mother—so she claims. She spent some years dating the CEO of Unique Trust-Prince Kofi Amoateng until Ghanaian musician-Mzbel allegedly took over.
5. Afia Schwarzenegger
Afia Schwarzenegger is a single mother whose kids (twin) are mostly taken care of by her mother when she is at work or when on a frolic of her own—heavily drinking and smoking. Afia claims she was once married in South Africa and her children were born out of the marriage. Others have said, the two children were born out of ‘prostitution’, an allegation Afia Schwarzenegger has not really denied.
6. Nana Ekua Amoah (Mzbel)
Two years ago Mzbel made headlines as many wondered who the father of her son, a cute baby she named-Aaron is. According to publications by GhanaCelebrities.Com, the CEO of Unique Trust-Prince Kofi Amoateng is a close fatherly candidate for Mzbel’s son—because the child was conceived when the two were dating. Mzbel has failed to openly mention the name of her son’s father—and the above ‘suspected’ person has never commented on this.
7. Tiffany Hayden (Itz Tiffany)
Ghanaian musician-Itz Tiffany and her baby father were in the news some few months ago—but they were not battling over child support or anything, rather over leaked ‘seks’ tapes of the rapper. Though Itz Tiffany is our celebrity single mother, her child is currently with the father whose parents were granted full custody by a UK Court some few years ago.Today, Itz Tiffany goes about her career as though she has no child but she surely has been losing sleep over the child not being with her—at least that is what she said some few months ago.
8. Nadia Buari
Actress-Nadia Buari is the last on our list for the obvious reason that even though she has somewhat denied having a child, Chris-Vincent Agyapong Febiri (Editor, GhanaCelebrities.Com) and several others in the know insist the actress has a child which she is completely hiding. Apparently, Nadia Buari had her child when she was a teen—and that was way before she started appearing on our screens as an actress. Her most successful relationship was with Ghanaian footballer-Michael Essien and many say the relationship broke down because of her ‘born one’ status—which she initially kept a secret from the footballer.

I feel that a few infertile celebrities are so much more than being famous and meeting an artistic quota. To me, just the weight of the scrutiny and attention is too weird.
