Raquel Hosts Night Of Music And Comedy

She caught the attention of many patrons at the +233 Bar and Grill with her annual Cupid Party show held on every Valentine’s Day. The positive feedback she earned from the public inspired her to host the Black and Bold concert early this year.

But it seems female singer, Raquel, wants her fans to enjoy her live performances regularly and that is what her management, BlackStar SR Entertainment hopes to achieve with the introduction of the Night of Music and Comedy series.

Backed by the Afro Harmony band, Raquel is expected to dish out some of her popular tunes to the patrons when she performs at the Avocado Lounge for the maiden edition of Night of Music and Comedy show tomorrow.

According to a member of the organising team, Stephen Creppy, the 6pm show which will be held every month is to grant Raquel her passion of performing live for her fans and those who support her music.

Apart from that, he said the show will also provide the platform for corporate networking and a place to relax after a month’s hard work.

Music is not the only meal on the bill. New sensation on the comedy scene, Kalybos, will be on hand to treat patrons to some of his jokes that have inched him into the hearts of many in recent times. Bismark the Joke, Agaage and Nigerian comedian, Legend, are expected to garnish the “comedy meal” with their jokes on the night as well.

Known for songs like Sweetioo, Lovi Dovi and I Won’t Cry, Raquel told Showbiz that she had always looked forward to having her own live show on a monthly basis where she could perform for her fans.

“Music is my passion and I have always wanted a show like this. I have been at many bars and pubs to perform for guests but this is my own initiative so my fans should expect much from me on the night. It is a dream come true and I know my admirers will enjoy the first show and the subsequent ones in the coming months” she told Showbiz last week Friday.
