Dancehall
artiste Shatta Wale has swallowed his comments about Ghanaian media
that they are “the most foolish media he has ever seen in his life”. The
reigning artiste of the year is said to have apologized to the media on
Pluzz FM, an Accra-based radio station.
Bull Dog confirmed his
artiste’s apology on Radio Univers when Abrantepa, host of the
mid-morning show asked about his expression of regret.
“It is
true Shatta Wale has apologized. Shatta Wale was misconstrued with his
comment about the media. He wasn’t directing it to all the media men, he
didn’t generalize the statement.
Sometimes the media blows
things out of proportion so we made it clear that if some people are
offended by the statement then we are sorry. Aside whoever broke the
story, we apologise to all those who are also offended by his comment.”
According to Bull Dog, Shatta Wale’s conduct has not affected their good relationship with the media.
“This incident has not broken the chain we have with the media. The
media is our partner all the time. The media should not take it as if
they are the victims here because they threw the first punch looking at
how Shatta Wale’s case was reported.”
He revealed that the journalist who reported Shatta Wale’s arrest story erred in many in many cases. |
