Mrs Ursula Owusu Ekuful, the spokesperson for the Okyere family has shared her sentiments on the ongoing trial involving the republic against Nana Asiamah Hanson aka Bull Dog, by questioning the proceedings of the court case.
After Bull dog made his second appearance in court in connections with the murder of Fennec Okyere, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ablekuma west, appeared at the grounds asking people around about bull dog- apparently having no knowledge of who he is and what he does.
Speaking to Razz Newspaper she stated ‘I only hope that they will expedite the prosecution and not go round a blind alley. I also hope that the police have enough evidence to prosecute and secure a conviction’.
She continued, ‘I remember the sight of Fennec lying face down naked which is a recurring image that we can’t take our minds off. I just hope we remember why this whole process is going on and not lose sight of the fact that Fennec was murdered. We always remember Fennec and we will do all we can to always keep his memory in mind.’
She stated that, as a lawyer herself, she understands that sometimes the process will take time, because lot of things goes into such court actions.
When asked if she’s pleased with the whole process thus far, she opined that she has been very careful with her comments and statements regarding Fennec’s issue.
According to her, she wouldn't say she’s pleased, but the police have made head- way in apprehending a suspect.
She added that, they are waiting for the final outcome of the case so everyone gets to know who killed Fennec and the reasons behind the atrocity. To her, what’s so excruciating is that, nothing will ever bring Fennec back to life, no matter what.
