Hungry For Stardom? Read The Rules Of Becoming A Celebrity In Ghana

sark

This is my blog and once again i say it contains my opinion. I was just reading a book written by Mark Knight with the title Drug Of Fame and i found out why any one in Ghana can see him or her self as a celebrity. I dont blame them. I didnt know why the word STAR is so common and easy for everyone to title himself with, until i found out the rules of becoming a star in Ghana is just as simple as A-B-C. Being a celebrity in Ghana!!
 Rules of Engagement…
1. You must start by being mobile. That is, you should be at every event, shows, etc.

2. You need to be active on social media. If you are a girl you know the easiest way to drive attention to your timeline. Just post those assets you have, whether your bum bum or your watermelon and give it a sexy caption and there you go, path of fame is right there waiting for you. If you are a guy, you need to start showing off, expensive jewels on your neck, upload pictures with celebrities you meet and start giving your timeline a taste of a dollar bill and you are the next Jigga.
3. You therefore need to upgrade from pictures to live. Shoot a music video if you are into music whether the song is a demo or it is a jokers song, let any tv station air it, call an FM Stationfor an interview, send a broadcast message that you are on air and pa, you are a celebrity. If you are a girl, start thinking of that movie auditions, get on set, act like you are competing with Yvonne Nelson and Maheeda, start turning down proposals from guys who are not popular and pa, you have the visa to the land of a celebrity.

4.You need to start flexing. That is anytime the media calls you for an interview, you reply by saying talk to my manager even if you dont have one. And when you need a promotion, you forget to let your manager to talk to the media, you contact the media yourself saying am your brother man, consider me, money no dey, for a year now i no play show, etc. Dont eat at your local waakye joint again, dont wear your Kant shaddas again, dont go to town with friends who are not popular on facebook or WhatsApp. With all these, you can call yourself a celebrity in every corner in Ghana.

5. You must be ready to do things that will call for insults. Especially, a girl should post a picture of her bum bum in a bikini and some naughty guys like my friend Burn will like and even bless you with a comment whiles some guys i know like my aboki friend Reginald will give a very gentle comment, well, ladies, those acting gentle are more than your greatest fans. Also, to the guys you should be updating your facebook status like Armani Morrison has been doing, I want to wee what should i do? etc. and start seeing yourself as a celebrity in Ghana.

6. Be ready to pay your fans for seeing your movies or listening to your music. You are everyone’s fan! Everyone you meet will tell you, i am your biggest fan oo I dey watch your film oo make you settle. If you start hearing that then you know Lil Wayne is your colleague.

7. You must be ready to attack the media if they dont post a good news about you for a while. After all you are a celebrity. Well just follow these seven simple guidelines and you can never go wrong. Remember that’s the Price for fame in Ghana.
